Established in 1977, Andrew Copeland Insurance was founded on the principle of providing a complete insurance service of a very high standard. We believe in building through excellence and to this end, we are constantly working to improve our range of products and develop new products for our customers, no matter how big or small. Our aim is to provide affordable quality insurance to our customers and to provide quality advice and a first class service covering the entire life cycle of a policy, not just at the point of sale. We offer a professional but relaxed environment in which to work and we encourage input, creativity and ideas from our staff.

Andrew Copeland Insurance is a professional firm of insurance consultants specialising in property insurance both in the UK and Europe, including residential and commercial property owners risks as well unoccupied property risks, landlord and Holiday Home Insurance. We also specialise in overseas motor insurance. The products we offer are arranged through our bespoke range of delegated binding authorities, administered in-house and available to customers and insurance intermediaries alike. All of our delegated binding authority schemes are underwritten by Lloyd’s of London with whom we enjoy coverholder status.

Delegated Binding Authority

A delegated binding authority is a special type of agreement whereby an insurer authorises a coverholder to underwrite on their behalf subject to an agreed and specific criteria. This means that as a coverholder, ACI is authorised to underwrite risks in-house on behalf of Certain Underwriters’ at Lloyd’s, providing an immediate and first class service. The contract reference number for the binding authority of the policy in question can be found on the policy certificate or schedule of cover. This number is unique to the contract that is in force with ACI and can be used by Lloyd’s of London to immediately identity the Lloyd’s syndicate(s) and binding authority to which it refers.
